"Innovation and Win-Win" is the eternal pursuit of Qiangsen Electric.Oil-immersed transformers rely on transformer oil for operation. Only when the transformer oil meets the operating requirements of the oil-immersed transformer can the equipment run more safely and achieve higher efficiency.Regular oil replacement maintenance is essential for oil-immersed transformers. Frequent oil changes are not required, but oil sampling and inspection should be carried out two to three times per month to keep the transformer oil fresh and functional. Besides routine sampling, continuous inspections are also mandatory. What specific items need to be checked?
In general, the need for transformer oil replacement is determined through regular inspections covering the following items:
Oil Temperature InspectionDuring operation, the transformer oil temperature will inevitably rise, yet it must stay within a safe limit of 85°C. If the oil temperature exceeds this threshold, check whether the transformer is overloaded. If overload is confirmed, reduce the load current. For indoor units, enhance ventilation and heat dissipation.
Oil Quality InspectionInspect the transformer oil for impurities and sediment, which degrade oil quality and impair operational performance. To ensure the transformer oil functions properly, regular monitoring of three key indicators—oil level, oil temperature and oil quality—is highly recommended. Any detected faults shall be addressed with targeted solutions promptly.
Oil Level InspectionThe oil level directly reflects the volume of transformer oil inside the tank. Never allow the oil volume to drop too low. Insufficient oil will degrade overall equipment performance and increase total power loss, which causes severe adverse impacts on the transformer.
